Villas Apartments in Puglia Southern Italy - Surroundings

Parco di Mileto lies between the mountainous green landscape of the Murge and the Adriatic. This location between the towns of Fasano and Ostuni and close to the beautiful sandy beaches of Torre Canne, just 3 kilometres away, is particularly attractive and totally unique in the whole of southern Italy. The 8-hectare park is surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and enclosed by rolling hills with stunning historical caves.

The park is in the middle of an area also known – thanks to its landscape gradually descending from the mountains into the sea, its crystal clear seawater, sandy beaches and mild Mediterranean – as the Conca d’Oro or Golden Bowl.

Fasano, with a population of 40,000, is some seven kilometres away. This town is well-known for its historical centre, many bars and restaurants, stylish shops and all the facilities you need.
The famous old town of Ostuni, which has 35,000 inhabitants, is five kilometres away. Ostuni is built on the foothills of the Murge mountains, and is also known, owing to its white-painted houses, as the ‘white town’, and boasts idyllic narrow alleys, winding roads, stairs and marvellous panoramic views.

Alberobello, with its famous historical round Truli houses with their conical roofs, and Locorotondo, known for its circular old centre, and the elegant Martina Franca with its beautiful old centre surrounded by walls, are less than 30 minutes from Parco di Mileto by car.

Sea and beaches
The Adriatic coast of Puglia has been recognised as having the cleanest beaches in Italy. The most well-known of these are at Savelletri and Torre Canne, a stone’s throw from Parco di Mileto.

Golf
There are two golf courses, including San Domenico Golf, one of the most prestigious golf courses in Italy, located immediately alongside the Adriatic, and both within 10 kilometres of the park.

Gastronomy
The famous Italian cuisine has its roots in Puglia, which is a paradise for lovers of fantastic food, good wines and the best olive oil. The landscape is characterised by olive trees, walnut trees, vineyards and fertile land on which fresh, organic products of superb quality are produced in accordance with traditional, ecologically sound methods.

Eating is always a pleasure in Puglia, whether you choose to cook for yourself using fresh local ingredients, or eat out in one of the extremely affordable restaurants. Fresh fish is always available along the long coastline, including an abundance of oysters, mussels and squid.
